WE MOVED COUNTRY!

Well… not really, but as if we had! We moved from the microcentro full of buses, smoke, dirt, to a quiet neighbourhood, with friendly and clean neighbours.

It was long time we wanted to change home.
Initially we signed the contract of the apartment for 6 months, but after this time we didn’t manage to find a house we liked, I the area we wanted.
So it was already 1 year and a half we were in the tiny apartment!
The dogs were fed up and literally ate all the furniture. First the big couch, then the 2 little sofas, then the chairs, the table, and on and on. Were they one day gonna eat our feet??
So I again started to look for a house. It was my 4th try!! Shit

I never thought it was so complicated to get a house to rent! There had been 3 we liked, but apparently everybody is looking for a place to live. Every time we were visiting a house, another 6 or 7 couples were doing so. And foreigners don’t get the priority, apparently.

Then a Saturday in April we see the add of a house in the area we wanted.
No visits the w-e.
Sunday morning. Walk with the dogs to have a look at the area.
Exactly what we wanted. Close downtown, but kind of residential street with bars that give a little spirit.
Monday morning, I call to make an appointment. I get hour at 12h30.
Ok, my lunch time. I have a short hour but I run to get to visit the house.
I enter the house, first door, I like the kitchen.
2nd door, not bad, big room with wardrobe.
3rd door, patio, and a corridor, ok, a nice place to have lunch outside.
4th door another room, I look at the window, and… A GARDEN??!!
I ask the guy who was showing me the house
- Is this a garden of the house??
- Yes
- How do I get there??
- at the end of the corridor of the patio
- ok, thanks!
I run to the patio, end of the corridor and… this is what I see!

Fuck, great, exactly what we want!
I go back to the office. On the way I call Arthur.
- Hey! I found a very nice house, patio, garden, good price.
- Really? Then we take it.
- But, you haven’t seen it!
- It’s ok, I trust you.
I arrive to the office. I tell them I want the house.
- Ok, you have to come as soon as possible, to pay and book it.
That same afternoon we went to the real state company and paid 200 eu to block it.
I saw it so quickly, and with so much excitement, that when Arthur was asking me to describe it, I was not even able to tell him if the garden had trees!!!

We are extremely happy in our new home. We still have to work out the furniture, and decoration, but it is a new period of our life.
